Unable to reproduceCan reproduce sending behaviour, but they do still take items. Please attach screenshots of your setup. Please re-open this as the sending bug is a show stopper.
Or should I open a new report for the sending issue?
Reopened, will provide additional details in a bit once I'm done with my testing.
Test 1 - Horizontal pushing
What does work: Interacting with world entities.
What doesn't: The hoppers do not push into other inventories directly connected to them.
Test 2 - Vertical pushing and pulling
What does work: Interacting with world entities.
What doesn't: Hoppers do not push or pull contents of inventories adjacent to them. The hopper below the topmost one has 1 item out of 63 that I threw in, this is most likely due to its range being more than 1 block above it.
That exactly replicates what I've tested so far. Thanks. I'm still playing with vertical chains as I thought I saw really weird behavior with items "leapfrogging" down the chain, but I cannot reproduce and it may have been what you described in your test 2.
Changing the TransferCooldown also does not seem to fix it.

Whoops one character that broke everything. Fixed!
1.8.2-pre4 or will this really be put off to 1.8.3?
@Roadsguy, a bug like this wouldn't likely be kept in 1.8.2 as it would break many things. Typically when a non-existing version is the expected release for a fix, the current "Future version" tag is used, then changed later.
I noticed this bug right away, as I am a big redstoner. Glad I found this before reporting it! Mojang had better fix this before a riot forms.
Oh, I didn't read Grumm's comment until after I posted that... Good job!
This will mean a pre4. The 'Future version' is just to indicate that it is not 'out yet'.
