Item frame renders block on its back as well
You can see a block through the back of the item frame with glass!
What I expected to happen was...:
To not see blocks on the other side of the item frame.
What actually happened was...:
When I looked down through the glass on the other side, I saw the back of the block through the back of the item frame.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Build a glass wall.
2. Put item frames down and then place any block in them.
3. Go on top of the glass and look down.

Does this occur without a use of a resource pack?
Oh good question! (facepalm)!
Confirmed still does it without a texture pack!
It is well known that this is the case. It can't be fixed, as the game as no way to only render the front half of an item model.
Confirmed.
Stop looking at its behind! Stalkers.
