Same things happened to me as well. All my 10+ gilded items and 50+ uniques gone.
How many items were inserted? Were they all placed in the Storage Chest in one go?
I placed about 72 unique objects and if all placed at once.
I accumulated as many as an achievement to see all my progress of each level
I have the same issue as well. i was playing the tower. before i finish the tower the game crashed and reopen the game and finish the gameplay. then i go to my storage chest to place item, all my item inside is gone.
Yes, for me. I have inserted all my uniques and gilded items in one go.
Then did the Nether Fortress mission. Closed the game after that. Came back the next day, all items were gone.
Did any of the items include items added by third-party mods, or are any such mods being used in general?
Have you uploaded your hero? If you have you can import it and get your stuff back

I used MCD Save File Editor on some of those weapons. Nothing too crazy, just level them up, as the blacksmith takes too long.
I do not use any mod or anything from third parties, I do not know programs of that type . any solution? or I give up my items
After logging in today, I too found that all items (except the last 9 items I accumulated in the last run before I closed the game the previous day) has just vanished. It's pretty painful cause every unique item I have collected I stored it in the storage chest.
While I'm not sure whether this would replicate the bug exactly, there are two ways that I think this could've happened
Step 1. Have your storage chest close to maximum capacity (e.g. 299/300)
Step 2. Have your inventory close to maximum capacity (e.g. 299/300)
Step 3. both are hypotheses
Possible event 1
Pick up multiple items from the ground in quick succession.
Possible event 2
At the end of the run receive multiple chests and open them (e.g. raid captain loot boxes)
I did not see any issue when I closed the game after the previous run. (I dont remember explicitly whether I checked the storage chest after the previous run) and only encountered the issue when I opened the game today.
