MCL-17159Cannot Change Versions
I cannot create any new versions, the only ones I can launch are the default and the snapshot, when I click the "New" button to create an installation, I can only select 1.16.5, and I can't play, for example, 1.8.9. This worked in the last launcher, but I updated it and now it doesn't.

Could you answer few questions regarding this issue, it will help with the investigation:
- Does this issue still occurs to you on newest version of Launcher?
- Have you tried to install Launcher from the minecraft.net website?
- Is your drivers up-to-date?
- Do you use VPN or any of the incompatible software on machine you try to log-in?

Hey Jon, yes we are sorry this broke. We will look into it and fix it ASAP. Seems another person had the same issue so I'll close this bug as a duplicate of it - MCL-17159. You seem to be able to navigate in the menus using your arrow keys (as a workaround)
I found out from another post that you can use the arrow keys to select things in the drop-down menus. Shout-out to William Turner on bug MCL-17159.
However, the mouse still does not work for drop-down menus as of version 2.2.7448.
Actually it works if I use the arrow keys and enter to select the version. But still not the mouse.
Hi William, can you confirm you have the same issues when you click Settings > General, and try changing language?
I can't change the language either!!! It doesn't let me click on anything! I can only use the arrow and enter keys to select it, and it still doesn't work with other launguages.
Can confirm on version 2.2.3963. Changing language has no effect.
I've also nuked my ~/.minecraft directory and reinstalled the launcher with no luck - so I don't think its caused by bad configuration or corrupted files.
