MCL-20200Unified Launcher Closes when I try to sign in with Microsoft
I downloaded the new launcher, but each time I try to sign in with the migrated Microsoft account, the launcher closes (see attached video). It does not open any other window or application; it does nothing at all. I've made sure that I'm signed in to the Microsoft account on my browser and my computer but it hasn't made any difference. Because I've migrated my account I can no longer sign in using the Mojang option. I've also uninstalled the old launcher because I though that that was causing the problem so I'm practically shut out of the game for now.

Unfortunately that comment does not help as I am not using GamePass or anything like that- I've owned my copy of Java for a few years now.
Attempting to login using my Mojang info as a Microsoft account does not work either as the launcher closes as soon as the Microsoft button is pressed (see video attached to original post)
I have the exact same issue!!!! I have no idea what to do as I've tried many many things

I would go find your transaction id for the game itself sent by email, that way you have it on hand, and go submit a support ticket at Submit a request
Go to Minecraft.net Profile
Note down your Profile Name, and Xbox Gamertag.
This way you can let Mojang know if this isn't being recognized by them.
Try also logging into your account using your old Mojang account information as a Microsoft account.

Reinstall the Gaming Services app on your Windows 10/11 device:
