Minecraft Launcher crashes on startup
Minecraft now fails to launch after updating Java to the latest version (JRE 6.0_25-b06)
Steps to reproduce:
1)Run minecraft.exe
2)See Error log created at exe location and application fails to run.
Occurred: 10/10 attempts
Launching using the pre-release (1.4.3) is successful.

Environment
Windows 7
JRE version: 6.0_25-b06
Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (20.0-b11 mixed mode windows-amd64 compressed oops)

This is not the latest java version, and frankly running some weird ancient beta version might be asking for problems
the latest 1.6 version is 1.6.0_37 currently.

Ah, fair enough, will test with correct version. Thanks for letting me know. I will update the bug with my results soon.
Yes this solved my issue. Funny how the auto updater didn't actually do anything.
