This seems more like a feature request than a bug report...
This is possible in Pocket Edition, but not in Win10 edition..
Hi Daniel, can you confirm that you cannot craft colored wool in the in-character crafting menu as well? Perhaps placement of the items matters?
Both those features work on Android, I'll check iOS and confirm win10 when I've got some of those devices nearby again.
Confirmed on Asus B121 Tablet Touch & pen enabled, Win10 Pro (64-bit) build 10240, MCPE 0.13.0.
On win10 the crafting formula for colored wool is restricted to "wool" (i.e. only white wool) left or right of any colored dye. The player cannot craft use colored wool to craft into other colored wool. The same behavior is experienced in the crafting table and the in-inventory crafting (2x2) grid.
Submitted for testing.
Turns out i am just a noob that doesn't know how to craft colored wool.
I thought it would be crafted like Stained Glass. Sorry!
Daniel, XD the moderator found the other issue that related to this issue, but not like what are you thinking. Change the summary like the moderator rplatham said and the description, if you want. Or let another person to create the issue.

So far unability to paint ANY wool but white is present in current PS Vita version.
Crafting recipes limited only to "White wool", even on recipe with "bone meal".
So, ONLY wool i can paint into white IS white.
This ticket has been resolved as 'Cannot Reproduce' as it has not been updated recently (1 year+)
