Importing Custom skin on console not working
With the new dressing room GUI, now you have the option to import custom skin even on console, but is not working.
Steps to reproduce
• Open Dressing Room and select "Classic Skins"
• Select the option to import the skin
• Select a skin from your storage
Observed result
• The skin is not applied
Expected Result
• The skin is applied

Not OP but same problem and no, MCPE-152259 is not the same issue . That issue describes the file chooser starting successfully. This issue does not. Gray overlay but no file chooser appars. Permission dialog shows successfully if you have not already granted perminssion, but nothing happens after granting.
Issue experienced at 07:10 CET 13th nov 2022 (and everytime I try).
System:
Minecraft v1.19.41
Android GalaxyTab 3 on Android 12.
Having the same problem on Minecraft switch I really hope this gets fix I hate pressing import skin but just greyed out screen
Still not fixed as of June 7th’s update.
Still not fixed in Version 1.19.2. I tried to import skins via USB to my Xbox Series X and got the same experience. Seems like many have this Problem, there is already a forum page about that problem. A fix would be great
Guess they decided to “fix” it by removing the button entirely. Starting to think the bug was including the button to begin with..
It's absolutely ridiculous that this issue is still on-going months later and that the functionality was completely removed instead of being worked on.
Still no button to import on Xbox One as of 1.19.51. It's quite frankly ridiculous that the steps to upload are still up on both the minecraft help and xbox support pages when the feature was essentially removed.
