Confirmed
Isn't it because they are entities, so just like how a player still gets damaged by tnt submerged in water, armor stands and paintings also get damaged and break / 'die' if their 'health' drops to zero.
Added vanilla-parity label, as the equivalent Java bug got fixed in snapshot 24w33a.
