This definitely sounds like
MCPE-176954There is nothing beyond the deepslate, it's a hallway that goes into Deepslate and that's where it ends.
@JervieA20 judging by the reporter's comment, it might be actually a duplicate of MCPE-182640
This bug happened in a New world in 1.21
@kelanior the other report says that it was experienced in a world from 1.20.
Requesting reopening, unlike MCPE-182640 i was able to reproduce the issue on a freshly generated world in 1.21.20 Android.
Can confirm in 1.21.20 Android. Interestingly this is also an issue in Minecraft: Java Edition 1.21.1
