Expected behaviour:
Netherite items float to the top of lava
Actual behaviour:
Netherite items don't rise and just stay on the same y-level
Steps to reproduce:
- Swim in lava so you're under the surface
- Throw an item
- Go to the surface
- The item will stay under the surface

Oh my GOD!!! thank you so much for posting this. Initially searched for this issue but didn’t come across it. Man I lost my netherite items to this bug. I initially assumed it despawned but were right below the lava lake. My items eventually despawned as I was looking around for hours.
Affects 1.16.40 Win10 edition.

GinePik: I cannot reproduce this in 1.16.100 or 1.16.210.50 Beta. Have you made sure that all of the lava blocks are source blocks?
[Mod] OcelotOnesie I only put lava on top and the rest was flowing lava. Sorry for the mis-information.
