One article in the Minecraft Launcher News section that lists new maps on Java Realms has a typo. The article title as shown in the launcher is "New on Realms: Lifs is a Competition" whereas the Minecraft website shows it as "Life is a Competition". The obvious typo here is the word "life", which is misspelled as "lifs". Attached is one photo of the article in the launcher and another photo of the article on the Minecraft website.

Can confirm, the "lapis lazuli block" should be "block of lapis lazuli", but I believe that "copper block" is fine, as there are many versions of the copper block, like "weathered copper block" or "lightly weathered copper block", and all of the versions would have to change. The other versions would have to be "block of weathered copper" or "block of lightly weathered copper".

Hi, I can confirm this. Indeed, every other UI that can be opened with a key opens immediately upon pressing a key, while the debug UI only opens after F3 is released. I've actually noticed this before when playing, and it certainly feels a bit strange. It should definitely be opened immediately upon pressing F3.
Hi, I can confirm this. Channeling tridents can indeed interact with the lightning rod but cannot produce a redstone signal, while normal lightning can. Here is a video showing this: https://youtu.be/OAF6I7NSksI.
When selecting the section titled "music & sounds" in "options", the "click" noise that is heard when selecting a button is heard twice. I'm assuming this happens because there is another button that takes the spot of this button as soon as you click on it (which is the volume controller for "blocks"), and the game may automatically register the click that was used for selecting the "music & sounds" button for the "blocks" slider. I tested this in many versions, and it is present in the latest snapshot as well as in 1.16.4 and in most, if not all, of the other versions before 1.16 until 1.8, where the bug is no longer present.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Enter Minecraft
- Navigate to "Options"
- Select the button titled "Music & Sounds..."
- Observe how most times, the "click" noise is played twice
Observed Results:
The "click" noise that is played when selected a menu button in Minecraft is heard twice when selecting the button titled "music & sounds".
Expected Results:
The "click" noise should only play once, as it does for all of the other menu buttons, including "chat settings", which has a similar layout (there are sliders that appear in the next menu upon clicking this button), but does not play the sound twice.
Screenshots/Videos:
Notes:
This bug does not affect gameplay but is a slight auditory bug in Minecraft's options section. Also, I believe that it only pertains to the "music & sounds" section and no other sections; notice how in the attached video, this section produces the bug, but the section titled "chat settings" does not produce the bug, and it has a similar layout.
I think that could just be physics. Obviously horses shouldn't be able to go through walls, and it appears that the horse was going forward, but could not do so given the wall in front, yet the walking animation continued.
I believe that when you summon a lightning bolt, it happens wherever you are standing, so even if it is in the area of the lightning rod, it won't be absorbed by the rod. The only way that lightning can be absorbed by a lightning rod is if it spawned naturally and is within the radius of the rod. See attached video [^2020-11-06 10-01-05.mp4]
Hey, I tried to recreate this, but I was not able to. In one instance, I enchanted a sword and heard the enchanting noise, as normal. However, I did not hear the same noise when simply taking an item out of the enchantment table, if that's what you mean. If you could provide a video, that would be greatly appreciated.

Can confirm, but honestly it could be intended. Naturally in the real world, water does leak through carpets, so Mojang could have kept this in mind and reflected how it actually is. But if carpets are just considered normal blocks without any special properties then this definitely could be a bug.
I can confirm.

MC-203565.The behavior of candles in this snapshot is admittedly a bit strange. They act like actual blocks, although they shouldn't. I think they should hopefully end up being like saplings or flowers, where it is not possible to place anymore of the same block on top of itself. I attempted to put saplings on top of saplings, and flowers on top of flowers, and of course this does not work, and I think that candles should be the same way.
Hi, I think I was able to recreate this, though I'm not sure if what I did is what you are describing. Basically, I road a boat, and upon pressing shift at a given moment (I tried this multiple times and as you stated, it is difficult to reproduce this reliably) the boat continued to move forward and I was stuck on top of the boat without being able to get out. The only way to get out was to break the boat or somehow jump off. I can confirm that this also occurs in 1.16.4, though again, what I am doing may not be the same as you are describing, I just tried to interpret what you were saying as best as possible.
I believe there is currently an issue with some blocks, like amethyst buds / clusters and candles, where they act as full blocks, and it is possible to place things on the sides. It probably shouldn't be this way. I would say this is related to
MC-203572, which pertains specifically to candles, but I think all the different blocks like this should be categorized under one bug.Hey, I was able to reproduce this bug, but I think this is a duplicate of the report

As for the second bug, I think that is normal, as it is not possible to destroy fire while holding any weapon, as seen by holding a sword in my hand and trying to destroy the fire in the attached video. https://youtu.be/Ebkxkq3iYTA

Hello, I believe that to play on Realms you must be in the latest release, as the error message says. I notice that you are playing on 1.16.3, and while this is an official release, it is not the latest version of Minecraft.
Hello, I tried to recreate this, but I was unable to. The way I understood your report is that you can actually position a water bucket on a mob and be able to place water, thus treating the mob like a block, but I have not noticed anything like that. If you mean being able to put water on blocks on top of mobs and let water submerge mobs, then that is normal, though I don't condone submerging innocent animals under water...

Maybe it is something with your audio? Check to see if your computer audio is working, and that Minecraft audio in general is working. If everything is working fine yet note blocks still do not work, then try going to "music & sounds" in "options" and checking to see if the section titled "jukebox/note blocks..." is set to OFF, and if it is, that may be the cause for your problem. If no audio is working in Minecraft, but the computer audio is working fine, try pressing F3 + T when in game; this is used to reload textures, and it is often useful to reload sound files as well. Or it could just simply be that there is something wrong with your computer audio output, whether it be headphones or speakers; I would double check to see if any audio can be played.
I can confirm, copper blocks only craft into 4 slabs, where other blocks craft into 6 slabs.
I can confirm, this is pretty strange.

Hi, have you checked to see if there is anything wrong with your controls? I attempted to recreate this but everything is working fine, and I am able to walk forward while crouching.
Hey, I was also not able to reproduce this. It appears that there is nothing wrong with the elytra, and upon testing, my character died after crashing into the ground during elytra flight, but I was able to retrieve everything that I had in my inventory. I did, however, test this in a superflat world, and if you encountered this in a regular world, then perhaps some of the items got stuck somewhere or moved somewhere else; like if you landed on a cliff, some of the items could have fallen down the cliff, or something like that.
