I have an extremely fast clock running this command:
execute @e [type=WitherSkull] ~ ~ ~ particle happyVillager ~ ~1 ~ 0.3 4 0.3 0 5
It runs fine until a few minutes later when the game starts to lag (it is not framerate lag it closely resembles server lag) then upon reloading the world, the game crashes (crash log attached). After the crash the world loads fine.UPDATE (14w30c) : A few snapshots back they resolved this crash. Although the game no longer crashes after a while of game-play on the world, which is full of running redstone, there is still the same odd lag that was present before. To resolve it you have to exit the game and restart it. I Have no clue what causes it as there are many things running. I will attach the world for further testing!

that's a directional bug make it face the other direction for now, but they are planing on fixing direction bugs in 1.5
Just to clarify When I refer to "on the ground" I dont mean when placed (although that would be cool) I am referring to when you "Q" the entity out of you.
The Nvidia Geforce GTX 780 is affected.
Kind of, I'll update the description.
Here is the map, to replicate the glitch keep the game open for a while. Once you return try using a command or viewing a constantly flashing piece of redstone, if you waited long enough it should show signs of server lag.
Time for 1.8 pre-2 this has to be fixed.
I can confirm this, I tried listing all the players in the game. OP's could see it, Non-Ops couldn't.
To clarify, the reason this happens is that it gets deleted when bound to your cursor. If you were moving the objects from a chest slot to another it would still clear because it is in your cursor. In my opinion it should only clear once it is in your inventory. As it stands this proves difficult for adventure map making and, unless there are other drawbacks by deleting the item only in the inventory, a fix should be considered.
I highly suggest changing the name of the report to reflect this information. Maybe something like "Items bound to cursor being cleared causing ghost items"
Here is a video explaining the bug and why it is detrimental.

That was what I expected as well, but as displayed in the video items are cleared while selected in your cursor. That is the glitch.
