in 1.8 when pushed by slime blocks (sideways) a entity is able to jump up over a one block gap and up by its automatic step up height
in 1.9 this has been increased to two blocks (shown in v=1VaMGOYdSX8&feature=youtu.be )For most living entities (inc the player) this can jump up by half a block onto a half slab above,
however for Enderman and Horses this is increased to a whole block (again shown in v=1VaMGOYdSX8&feature=youtu.be )I'm sorry if this report don't make much sence

The way to fix this bug would be to disable the automatic step up code whist the entity is falling / not on the ground (like when flying in creative mode)
I'm sorry if this report don't make much sence it's a little hard to explain though
EDIT:
This bug is not a Duplicate ofMC-89030as it can be shown in ' https://youtu.be/Wb0GfHunrRA ' to also affect 1.8.9 which is unaffected byMC-89030EDIT 2:
Added an world where you can automatally test if the bug still affect that version (called 'Bug test World.zip')EDIT 3:
Changed the bug report from only effecting enderman to affecting all living mobs, would like to thank panda for his help suggesting horses as another mob affected by the bug)
Mobs are able to step up automatically whist falling
in 1.8 when pushed by slime blocks (sideways) a entity is able to jump up over a one block gap and up by its automatic step up height
in 1.9 this has been increased to two blocks (shown in v=1VaMGOYdSX8&feature=youtu.be )For most living entities (inc the player) this can jump up by half a block onto a half slab above,
however for Enderman and Horses this is increased to a whole block (again shown in v=1VaMGOYdSX8&feature=youtu.be )SUMMARY TABLE:

Possibly should be a feature request but since there is a voices volume control in the sound menu I think this is more of a bug that it doesn't effect the narrator volume
Narrator's volume should be controlled from the 'voices' voice control option in the sounds menu but isn't
Note to self: to turn on narrator go to 'esc menu' / Chat settings / its at the bottom left of this menu
Danny N The behaviour of the endermen you show is unrelated to this bug post. It happens because endermen have a step height of 1 block (it should be similar with horses).
They don't get warped by pistons in any way in your video, just pushed regularly.
You could also reproduce the behaviour you show by using /entitydata on the endermen to set their motion.
So please open an other report about that to avoid confusion. Thank you ![]()
Danny N, you don't have to write a comment if you can update the affected versions yourself.
Danny N: no need to comment here about versions being affected. Since you're the owner of this ticket, you can just silently update it to reflect the versions that are affected.

Also Affects 1.9.3 pre 3 (not sure how to add new affects versions) and also this bug didn't happen in 1.8.9 as the enderman fell in the 2 block gap
EDIT: I was later able to reproduce this bug in 1.8.9 so that part of this comment is incorrect
I don't think this should be a bug because chest and signs (both don't burn) are wooden blocks that the player edits (chest by items inside, signs by the text) - banners are also player edited and so fall into the category of user editable blocks (which when you may have put a mob head into its crafting you wouldn't want it to burn)
also affects 1.9.3 pre 3
Don't think its a bug but a feature request, however as the mods here think its a bug (by re-opening), then i'll go along with it. A workaround would be to add regular aurmor on to the horse using /entitydata however as some of the skelly horses have 26 hearts, I can see why its not been added yet, but would be nice when they do (while your at it mojang, allow leads to be attached to skelly horses (or maybe just saddled skelly horses, so you can't lead a skelly ridden skelly horse)
Also affects 1.9.3 pre 3
Bob - Thanks
[Mod] FVbico,
MC-89030only explains part of this not all, of it as there are 2 things which are going on here:1: the mobs being pushed to far (Explained by
MC-89030)2: Mobs being pushed up a block (Not explained by
MC-89030as 1. the only nearby pistons are sideways facing and 2. the bug also occurs when you lengthen the slime blocks (make the slime blocks 11 long not 2 long) on so no pistons being nearby (badly explained, but this was used in a enderman farm spawn floors so imagine using it there.)EDIT: Added screenshot
EDIT 2: Changed mc-89030 to
MC-89030so it links toMC-89030properlyOk then thanks bob and FVbico
EDIT: this is a separate issue see MC-101459 for more however a I left this here for the consistency of this bugs comments - sorry for going off-topic
I would add some of the info I posted on my duplicate bug report (MC-101459):
Enderman can jump over a 2 block gap and a block up when pushed by slime blocks or pistons (see screenshots / video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VaMGOYdSX8&feature=youtu.be
However in 1.8.9 the enderman fell in the 2 block gap which I belive is the intended behaviour, in my test (see screenshots / video) there are 2 things going wrong:
1: the mobs being pushed to far (Explained by This bug)
2: Mobs being pushed up a block (not clearly explained by this bug as 1. the only nearby pistons are sideways facing and 2. the bug also occurs when you lengthen the slime blocks (make the slime blocks 11 long not 2 long) on so no pistons being nearby (badly explained, but this was used in a enderman farm spawn floors so imagine using it there
attached screenshots there is also a youtube vid which I will start uploading in a sec
Vid now uploading (link when done: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sqlgPK-MXA&feature=youtu.be)
seems to be a dupe of
MC-101952not sure why it didn't show up in my search's before I made this - sorry for my bad searchingI'm dum, that's this bug, no wonder it didn't show up in my searching - it didn't exist
IGNORE THE ABOVE COMMENT
Video is now ready: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sqlgPK-MXA&feature=youtu.be
Bob, mob hitbox size changes may have something to do with this bug, but I doubt it as shown in my vid the creepers hitbox in in the water above it but the creeper fails to swim up it, I also doubt highly that this is intentional as 1. the creeper does eventully make its way up the water (so then there a bug there) and 2. that mojang will even want to break it, as there's no clear reason to, when most other 2 tall mobs still work.
That may be it, thanks for the info
FVbico, I have an old world and in MC it says 13456 chunks generated but mcedit says over 50K chunks generated in my world, is this normal or am I missing something? (attached Screenshots - mcedit.png and 2016-05-15_23.20.19.png showing my f3 screen in MC and the approx. overworld generated chunks in MCedit)
EDIT: I was in the overworld when taking the minecraft screenshot so the total generated chunks on the F3 screen wasn't lower as it was saying total generated in the end or nether but the overworld (unless its total in all 3 dimensions)
No, it means enchanted at level 30,however If I remermber correctly fishing also has separate junk and treasure loot tables that seem to be missing for fvbico's treasure.json, I need to go to bed now so don't have time to look properly but if your intrested I attached the file 'loot tables.zip' which contains the full loot tables used in MC 1.9.4, to view I would use notepad++
EDIT: Spelling
but the underlying mechanics are broken, which is a bug.
I think this is a bug because a creeper is in water and is not swimming up, the 'water elevator' is showing this bug/ a case where the bug is easily and reliably reproducible.
also Players are unable swim through these spaces when sneaking, which is inconsistent as you can swim up when not sneaking
This also adds another inconsistency shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6-Ne7Wo-wY&feature=youtu.be
Affects 16w20a
Is this issue reopened or not because in the bug it says reopened but it fails to show up in the 'my open issues' section or when I search for 'Creepers unable to swim properly/ unable to swim up though 1 high air gap whilst sneaking' (https://bugs.mojang.com/issues/?filter=10613&jql=project%20%3D%20MC%20AND%20status%20%3D%20Open%20AND%20text%20~%20%22Creepers%20unable%20to%20swim%20properly%2F%20unable%20to%20swim%20up%20though%201%20high%20air%20gap%20whilst%20sneaking%22%20ORDER%20BY%20affectedVersion)
I think I may have bugged out the bug tracker - LOL
Thanks FVbico that makes sence - it is a little odd that a reopened bug is not same an open bug though when searching and fails to show up under the 'my open issues' section
you still take issues for 1.9 even though 1.9.4 is out?
I figured I would copy the description of
MC-102395as there was a good point made:Mobs unable to jump on stairs from grass path / farmland.
Quoted from [Mod] Kumasasa
This issue will kill all Villagers in villages instantly at the first night since they cannot enter their houses.
As of 16w20a gold ore can spawn higher in the mesa biome see http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/16w20a
Mesas, including all variants
In addition to the normal 2 veins of gold ore below Y=32, attempts to generate 20 veins between Y=32 and Y=79.
Panda, I did open another bug report (MC-101459) and I got closed as a duplicate, secondly this enderman behaviour didn't occur in 1.8.9 hence something occurred in the dev of 1.9 to cause this. I will test entitydata though to see if it still occurs in 1.8.9 and 1.9.4 and see if that may get MC-101459 reopened - Thanks
Panda (reporter of
MC-89030) said this issues is NOT a dupe of his bug (MC-89030) and surrested using the /entitydata command to test it so in did and this bug occurred again however often using commands can break things (like external tools can) so to prove this is not a dupe I tried to recreate this bug in 1.8.9 BEFOREMC-89030was introduced proving these are 2 separate issues see 'https://youtu.be/Wb0GfHunrRA' for proof in 1.8.9 and 1.10 snapshot 15w21bEDIT: Spelling and clarified about commands breaking things
EDIT 2: Changed mc-89030 to
MC-89030so it links toMC-89030properlySorry for ingoring the advice FVbico but I uncoved some new evidence showing the 2 bugs
MC-89030and this one are 2 different issues as this bug also affects 1.8.9 which is a version unaffected byMC-89030EDIT: Changed mc-89030 to
MC-89030so it links toMC-89030properlyPanda just done some testing and have found what I said in MC-101459 to also affect 1.8.9 detailing that you was right and these are 2 separate issues over the same thing - thanks
Mob table in MS word as the bugs tracker seem to mess up the layout - Sorry
EDIT: Mob tables been fixed so I've removed the MS word document

from the bugs description
This is WAI as Violine said Suggestions goes to the reddit, the bug tracker is ONLY for bugs
Sorry, but just saying
'There is a glitch through the redstone circuit
And there is a problem on the movement
It is also lagging.
The screen is blinking'
is next to useless as no one knows what is wrong other than lag caused by redstone, which is laggy due to many different and known issues, you will need to expain whats wrong and how to reproduce this bug, also if the screen is blinking or you find it hard to explain in words how to reproduce a bug, you can record a video showing how to reproduce and the bug in action (it will also be useful to get a F3 Screen Screenshot and a forced crash report (F3 + C for 10 seconds)) - Thanks
Also, it looks like there may be multiple issues you are experiencing (eg. Lag and Screen Blinking) please make these as separate issues as it helps the devs to track the problems one by one over having a list you can't edit easily
Also zombie and skelly spawn eggs can produce husks or strays
Polar bears, Strays and husks (added in 1.10) also affected
EDIT: Polar bears, Strays and husks behave the same as the Player, Blaze, Cow, Zombie and Skelly's
EDIT 2: Spelling
Its resolved as a duplicate of another bug hence this bug is closed as mojang is already keeping track of it elsewhere (in this case
MC-32606)MC-32606- is a bug relating to integrated GPU drivers (where your using the CPU as the graphics card) to fix you can:Increase allocated RAM from 1GB to 2GB (only applicable to 64 bit users)
. In the Edit Profile menu in the Launcher, check the JVM Arguments box, and change the -Xmx1G argument to -Xmx2G
Change Video Settings in-game (Options -> Video Settings)
. Enable VSync
. Enable VBOs
Update or Downgrade your GPU drivers
For more information go to
MC-32606(Full link: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-32606)Hope this helps
If
MC-32606does not help then please update this bug with your system details (in this case it may also be useful to have the Graphics card driver version, to view open F3 screen in MC or open device manager > Display adapters > name of graphics possessor (should be intel something for you) > Properties > Driver > Driver version)See Screenshots for 2 methods to do this (one doesn't require you to use MC)
Method 1:
See Step 1.png Step 2.png Step 3.png
Method 2:
See Alternate method.png
Reloaded as I accidently reviled my IP address and I don't believe its a good idea to public share your ip - Whoops
FVbico, has Arisa ever told one of the dev that message when they work on an update or has it been programmed to ignore the devs?
FVbico - That's my point - Chests and signs don't burn as they store data in them (items or picture) and so can be hard to recreate so I feel that banners are the same and so also should not burn
so out of interest when the dev finds a bug how do they track that?
and I also wasn't auguring about the future version thing, just had a question that popped in to my mine and I had to ask - sorry about any confusion
EDIT: Thanks for answering the question
Affect laggy single-player worlds too (less tps = longer delay and more likely to splat into the ground)
Relate to
MC-9134I believe this is WAI as you can also fly above the 'world height boarder' in creative mode
Also there is nothing stopping you for going above this like:
1. the horizontal world boarder (added in 1.8) that prevents you from escaping and damaging you if you do manage to
2. the void (or the bottom world boarder) that damages you till you die
Also the retriction to the TP command was only intended to prevent a crash from tping to high (see
MC-100410and http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/1.9.3-pre1 for more info)This is a odd bug, well found (and isolated from the sea of other Minecraft weirdness)

Mods feels free to remove this bug if it is more a feature request
since this 'bug' is now works as intended, how do you control the narrators volume?
EDIT: I guess the master volume would work but that would limit everything else's volumes as well, so is there anyway to only change the narrators volume?
Can't reproduce this with my own testing are you sure you arn't jumping from the slab thats under the chest?
TLDR:
On newer versions of win 10 the 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings' has been removed so i instead checked the 'Override high DPI scaling behavior scaling performed by:' and set the drop down box below to 'Application' - this fixed it for me
I was having an issue where the camera would constantly move in a random direction when minecraft was on my second screen, on my primary screen this never occurred, i have also experienced the same issue on both my new pc (i7 7820X@4.3GHz 32GB@3200Mhz ram GTX 1070 dual 4k Display windows 10 pro 64bit) and my old pc (i7 4770@3.4GHz 32GB@1333MHz ram GTX 770 dual 4k Display windows 10 home 64bit) this is on minecraft 1.12 with Minecraft's integrated version of java.
reading this bug report's workaround section i tried to do that but on my version of windows (version 1703) i can't find the option "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" so i tried using the 'Override high DPI scaling behavior scaling performed by' which is basically a more flexible option, and it seems to work setting it to application.
FYI: Due to current issues at work (having to work 60 hours a week and doing a training course for new equipment) , i will be unable to provide frequent updates on this bug report for a while (may be a year or two though) if someone wants to test the bug in the meantime please use the attached bug test world (open the world give the world 30 secs to perform the test and add the version tested with to the affected versions list), i will try to update the major release versions eg. 1.13.0, 1.14.0 ect but i can't make any gurentees.
If 1.13 breaks the command blocks in the bug test world ill try to get them updated, ive already got a working version in the snapshot 18w15a

Creepers fixed in 1.13 pre 1, unable to test player, as unable to swim sneaking at all - assuming this is a snapshot related bug, tested in 1.13 pre 1 and 1.13 pre 5 will test again when 1.13 comes out, added 1.13 pre 5 to affected versions as still unable to swim whilst sneaking in 1.13 pre 5
also crashes with 1.11 world in 1.13 pre 5
Game log:
Same in pre 6 adding for same reason listed above
Creepers somewhat fixed but only when water level in the water stream is high enough, player still affected by the issue above
I'd agree with Sandro if this bug is not resolved then TNT's use case is almost eliminated in this game - (which the dev's do not intend and therefore by the definition of 'software bug' which is 'unintended behavior of software' a feature becoming useless is itself a bug)
can confirm this has happend to me multiple times now - always the last logged in account, doesnt seem to be a pc restart that does it as restarting the luncher triggered it, i find it intreasing that the luncher is kinda aware its forget the account as i opens the enter details screen and not just switch to different account thats still logged in
forgot to check log files tho sorry

cant add the affects version tag but affects mc version 1.16.1
cant add the affects version tag (nothing showing up in the select tag) but affects mc version 1.17.1
its fixed for creepers in 1.17.1 so im gonna assume the underlying issue is fixed by all the changes made to water recently, the players now going down thing is very odd but ig that a intended change (tho it makes little sence as now you cant swim up while sneeking, which will be annoying for those who want to invade a underwater base but thats a different issue entirely, really dont get why mc is sooo focused on giving the same key many uses and not allowing them to be split up as a optional thing)
