(Top: Java edition, Bottom: Bedrock edition)
In java edition, the basalt pillars are completely flat at the bottom and they also barely float above the lava. In bedrock edition, they overall look better. So I think the java edition ones should be changed to look more like the bedrock edition ones.

The title explains it.

It looks out of place
About two months ago it was mentioned in a nether update beta changelog that nether ambiance sounds were added, but for some reason, only a small minority of what java has (the ones that play rarely). However, there are a lot of missing ones, namely the sounds that play on a loop, all the time.
How to rep
licate:Just go to the nether. You'll notice it's completely lacking any ambient sounds (except for the rare, occational ones).
Why this needs fixing: The ambient sounds add so much atmosphere to the nether and it's sad that the majority of players won't be able to experience them at launch (if the bug doesn't get fixed).

First, the starting animation is broken. Only the middle head is spinning rather than the whole body.
Second, in the first phase of the boss, the wither most of the time just stands still and suddenly falls down from time to time. It's supposed to fly around way more.

I don't see why they shouldn't fix this.
This needs fixing really bad. Good thing it's a high priority for Mojang.
Some areas end up looking like this. It looks unnatural. 2020-06-02_16.02.54.png

Oh, maybe it is. Well, the bug has been fixed now anyway.
Needs fixing asap. I just don't understand why they haven't fixed this bug yet. It's such an obvious one.
Yeah, pretty sure it happens on all platforms because I'm sure the rest of the ambient sounds haven't actually been added to the game yet.
You should consider changing "anbience" to "ambiance" in the title. I couldn't find a report with the issue just because of the typo.
Why this needs fixing: The ambient sounds add so much atmosphere and life to the nether and it's sad that the majority of players (bedrock users) won't be able to experience them at launch (if the bug doesn't get fixed before, which I highly doubt).
How could the devs not spot this?
Confirmed for 1.16.0

No, that’s about the starting animation. This report is about the fight itself (first phase)
Why does it say "resolved"? When there's no resolution? is it a duplicate?
Still not fixed. It's taking way too long....
This is not a duplicate but a seperate issue
Still an issue.
Affects 1.20.73
I see no problem with it tying with wooden & stone axe attack speeds. It'd still be very slow, fitting well with the weapon's heavy nature. There's no reason for it to have an attack speed of 0.5, especially when it's incompatible with wind burst, and changing it to 0.8 would be a minor sacrifice, and the mace would still be one of the slowest weapons in the game.
Still present in 1.20.6 and the most recent 1.21 snapshot (24w20a). I agree that it looks odd when some parts of the structure just float above lava, and I think they should change the spawn height to y = 32 to resolve this, alongside replacing all the air blocks at the lowest level within the structure with lava blocks whenever the structure spawns in lava.
