reading through vague descriptions.
- Lead fails as if entity is not attached yet the lead shows as attached and is not in inventory.
- Tested on a boat, destroying the boat did not drop the failed lead
- The failed lead cannot be attached to a fence or be unattached from the entity.
- The failed lead may "drop" if another lead fails in the same way as above on the same entity. Yet the failed lead that shows as attached will not drop if the entity is destroyed.
Trying to get 3 ocelots home from a jungle over 10,000 blocks away, I attach a lead to a boat and get 2 of the cats in it. I got myself and the other cat into another boat and began to boat away. However, the leashed boat would not move. I tried pulling it from land. I could not detach the lead and I could not attache it to a fence post. So, I broke the boat. Breaking the boat did not drop the lead. I attached my other lead to an empty boat and tried pulling it from land. It worked. So I loaded up the boats and set off.
I stopped for the night, slept, and set off again. The boat would not move. Going back to the boat, I noticed a lead floating in the water next to it. The first Lead?. I break the boat, again, and the boat did not drop the attached lead. I still have 1 of 2 leads. I repeat the attach and loading and set off home.
This happened again while bring small slimes home using 2 boats. I didn't notice the towed boat stop, the last time, and I lost it.
This happened again while leading a llama. I leashed a llama that wasn't far from home and began walking around searching for others. Night was coming, so I gave up with only 1 extra llama following. At one point I turned back and noticed the lead stretched way out, and the llama was "wandering". I went back and and tried to detach the lead but couldn't. I attach a second lead and the llama would not follow. So I stretched the leads until they broke. Only 1 lead dropped. Down a lead, I reattach a lead to the llama and took the llamas home.
I have not wanted to kill the llama to see if the first lead pops out.

IsJustaGhost, just fyi, there are two different very similar issues right now that have different workarounds as well:
MCL-12229(workaround: start the launcher on C:\ drive or move the system temp folder to the drive you have Minecraft on)MCL-12279(workaround: disable the beta launcher by editing launcher_profiles.json)
It's likely that most of the cases you're encountering are covered by either of these tickets.
Windows 10 Bedrock 1.9.0
This has never happen to me before. Tonight, while playing, it has. I was playing on a friends world that we have been playing on for several months. While making paths through the nether to other areas, I opened a portal from the nether I went through and heard the damage ticks while on the loading screen. I waited for a few seconds then exited the game. Using the Xbox app I asked my friend if I died. They said I did. They reloaded the world from a backup, and we re-made the paths again. This time I had them break the nether portal to the jungle, where I exited, and I ran to the mesa to re-build the portal there in the over-world, the portal that killed me.
I created the portal from the mesa to the nether. I entered and had my friend fix the jungle portal. we tested both portals to make sure they were not linked. I entered and exited the nether twice from there, all was good.
We finished the new path and went back to the home portal. My friend entered, I did a few seconds after. Again I was taking damage on the loading screen. I quite the game immediately. I asked my friend on the Xbox app if I died, I did. None of my items were found. I assumed it sent me to the void. I should not have taken enough damage to kill me before exiting the game.
Altho my experience may be a different issue, since spawning in the top block sounds legit, I will still update from my previous post since it regards dying from going through a portal.
I found a forum, but lost it, that mentioned when you first go through a portal it transports your character to the other dimension at the some coordinates of the portal you entered. It was said that if you desync from the server, prior do being placed at the exit location, and if the area at the location is not safe, you will take damage, Or die if the desync is long enough. Chances are, quitting the game while ticking down on the loading screen causes instant death. I had died when i quit within seconds of taking damage.

The next time my friend loaded up their world, i traveled to the X,Z coordinates the portal in the nether was at in the over-world and found my inventory clustered together on the surface.
Deaths in the nether may result in your inventory being above the top bedrock.
I do not believe this is the same issue as
MCPE-28765MCPE-28765seems to refer to spawning into the nether portal frame.I posted my comments in that thread as this one was linked and closed. This is not just taking a half heart of damage. This is dying at the coordinates you enter a portal in the dimension you are going to. Lets say you enter a portal in the nether at 12 50 20, you suffocate in the ground in the over-world at the same coordinates.
I tested this out by heading to the the x,z coordinates on the over-world that the portal was at in the nether and found my inventory in a clump on the surface.

MCPE-28765While playing on the OP's realm, I had found the first of the chunk areas that were invisible. The area was fine within the past hour. I know because the path I travel goes through that area. I reconnected to the realm 2 times after I had found the invisible area. I had called other players to me to see if they saw it the same. They confirmed that the invisible area was server related. A few of us members traveled onto the invisible area a short distance. I did not go far onto it. However, when i was on it somewhere past 10 block, in a view other then 1st person, when looking back to land everything disappeared.

The OP came onto the realm and I showed them the issue. OP downloaded the world to test it out locally and found no issue. OP uploaded the world back to realms. We joined and the invisible area was visible again.
Shortly after the re-upload of the world, another member said they found another one. I went to them to see it.

The OP went through the steps taken for the first area to re-upload the world again.
The second invisible are was fixed.
Again, after the re-upload another member found another large invisible area. This one we left alone for the time, planning to perform the above step to fix it later.
The following day, I was the first to log in and I found a new invisible area within view of base. This time I spent a little more time looking into it. I traveled onto it, while crouched, until i could go no further. It was like I came to a drop to the void. I tried throwing items over the edge but they seemed to hit a wall. I noticed that i could not sneak over the edge of the block I was on. i traveled along this void for a short distance. It appeared as though the area within the invisible area did not exist.

I had the OP download a copy of the world and put the realm in creative without uploading the world back to the realm, I Thought just enabling creative would not reset the realm, so I could fly around it and see how high it goes. When I entered in creative the invisible area and void was not there.
This has occurred 2 days in a row, beginning the day after the realm was created.
Steps to reproduce - Unknown.
I am one of the regular volunteer support helpers on the minecraft discord server with Whomsky and Greymagic27. I can confirm that this is an ongoing issue. I must have referred at least a dozen users to this post in order to use the workaround today alone.
@violine1101, thank you for those references. However, would the workaround found here fix the issues covered by those 2 reports? All that i have helped with the launcher not doing anything when attempted to start that i have sent here, have fixed the problem with this workaround.

I just updated to 1.13.0 on Windows 10. Skin selection does not save. If i change my skin and then go in and out of the marketplace, or restart the game, all available skins on the profile revert to default. Even if i delete all the available skins from the profile, they are all reverted back to default.

I have been seeing complaints about this from Members on the Minecraft Discord. I tried it out myself and the same thing happens.
When selecting a language to open the appropriate form, the selected language does not carry over to the form.
Since the language is a required field, the user must select it again. Each time a language is selected, it resets the form.

On Windows 10, Make sure you have Connected User Experiences and Telemetry service active and set to Automatic. If it is not running, achievements will not show up.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect bluetooth headphones
2. Start Minecraft
Observed Results:
All system audio is gone. If playing Spotify or any other audio, it too will no longer be heard. If audio device is switched to "Hands free" mono, audio is heard. On switching back to stereo, All audio is gone. There is no change when switching windows. It's like the headphones have been disconnected but, they show as they are.
Switching from Fullscreen to windowed mode or, if in window mode and making the window fullscreen and not, will cause audio to momentarily burst. Maybe a half seconds worth.
Expected Results:
No disruption to the audio device.
Workaround
Requires disabling the "Hands Free AG" Audio device for the current bluetooth device.
This has been an issue for far too long. No other game or app I have used requires this in order to have audio.
