There is a new toast when server chat messages can not be verified, with text that exceeds the normal size of a toast. I guess they implemented a feature that displays the texture of a toast until the end of the text, but here the text stops after one line.
I don’t know if I experience the same problem, but it seems to be the same.
Here are two videos, both taken on my Ubuntu 23.10 machine, one with the current launcher (v.2.18.2-1.8.2) and one with the beta launcher (b.2.19.2-1.9.2). Both versions have problems.
The problem is also present on my Fedora 39 host, which have the v.2.18.2-1.8.2 version.
I’m currently searching where logs are stored.
Note that I can launch any instance from the “Installations” (in French « Configurations ») tab.

that is a duplicate of
MC-250937TeamArvv If it's true, the bug is in the update from the old UUIDs to the new ones
The bug is still here in 1.19 pre4
Ouch, they realeased a new pre-release. Can someone check out if this bug affects pre-release 5 ?
I checked, 1.19 pre5 is affected...
Can someone check if this bug affects 1.19.1 pre releases ?
I have an idea of the source of this issue.

Yep, it describes my issue! Should I upload my videos and logs on MCL-18387?
Occurs for me on Ubuntu 23.10 and Fedora 39, on both v.2.18.2-1.8.2 and b.2.19.2-1.9.2.
Here the two videos:
v.2.18.2-1.8.2.webm
(current version)
b.2.19.2-1.9.2.webm
(beta)
Here the logs:
Ubuntu23.10-2024-03-02-launcher_log.txt
Note that the timestamps in the logs are in UTC time, while in the videos, the timezone is UTC+1.
Note that I can launch any instance from the “Installations” (in French « Configurations ») tab.
Edit: The problem only occurs under Xorg, and everything works fine in Wayland.
