This maybe work as intended, villager picking an item dropped on 2-3 block near them, but if you accidently drop your emerald near villager, there is no hope to restore it
It's happen to me, they take my wooden sword after I drop it for my brother, they ran quickly and steal it

This happen after 0.16.0 update, also happen to me, if u want join the game you must turn on play with data cellular, and turn on data cellular, and boom you can join, after joining turn off data cellular, and if u want hosting LAN multiplayer, you must turn on data cellular before entering world, and turn off again if you have entered, try it! Its work for me

I have make an experiment to the villager and thats is successful, and now i know iron golem can spawned by breeding villager, but they throw Bread too far away, and please fix bug villager can pickup all item THANK YOU
You can't breed villager if the number of homes Villager fewer than the number of existing Villager
