Same problem on galaxy s6 edge plus. I have had it save successfully 2 or 3 times, but it freezes and loses the progress far more often. I give up until this is fixed. I can't mine that section again all over and lose the progress again...
I started a new survival world and was started on a very small island. I was able to play just fine for quite a while with no issues saving and exiting. I only had an issue when I began exploring further from my island home. I got less than half of a fully zoomed-out map explored before I started having issues. Probably around 80-90% of what I explored was Ocean. Every time I explore around 40% of the map I pretty much guarantee that I will crash when I try to save. The first time I explored that far the game semi-froze while I was still playing. I was in a boat and I could still look around, but could not move and there were graphics distortions. Just some more info in case it is useful.
Can confirm this happening as well. I just made a couple of bridges that cross the water and are completely flat. I take a bit of damage every time I cross riding a horse, and you can see the bubbles appear under your hunger bar briefly when the damage occurs.
I'm playing on 1.1.4 and was just insta-killed by a blaze. Android device. I was wearing full diamond armor with fire protection enchants on two pieces, and protection on the other two.
I have been fishing for days. I've filled many double chests with loot from fishing and I have not seen any mending or frost walker. This is in a brand new 1.1.4 world.
Yeah I just tried fighting the wither for the first time and the lag gets so bad I can't even turn. It is completely impossible to fight the wither like this. The game slowed down so far that there was literally several seconds between each hit of the wither effect. I'm surprised the game didn't actually crash. Can the number of drops be reduced somehow to make the game stay playable?
Edit: didn't mention that I am playing in 1.1.5 which should be added to the affected versions.
I guess there's no need to say that it is still happening in 1.1.5 since it is happening in 1.2, but I will anyway. I spent hours building a large area in the nether with bottom half slabs in my "safe" area and as the roof for a wither skeleton farm ala tango's design only to find mobs spawning in both the "safe" area and on the roof. I was already annoyed because blazes could see me over the walls that only wither skeletons were supposed to see me over, but the spawning on bottom half slabs is a huge issue for the farm. All of this is on top of discovering that fighting the wither absolutely destroys the game with lag which makes the entire farm a wasted effort anyway.
I'm playing on a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+. Not quite 2 years old. If it isn't playable on this, I imagine it probably isn't playable on most mobile devices.
I haven't timed it to see if the time is exactly 30 seconds, but I just recently decided to take a trip to a woodland mansion for the first time ever and am now experiencing sharp lag events on a regular basis. I'm back in my base and no longer traveling around, but the lag is a permanent fixture at this point it seems. Exploring too much of the world seems to break it permanently. I had played this particular world for weeks without exploring much and never had any issue. Since the woodland mansion discovery trip I really can't play it anymore.
This is fixed for me in the official 1.2 update. At least it is in the new creative world that I created expressly for the purpose of testing this. The clumping of like entities seems to be sufficient to keep the lag at a manageable level. There were still some lag jumps occasionally, but they didn't last long.
I'm also getting crashes sometimes when using the crafting table in 1.2.1 on android. It might be coincidence, but I seem to have noticed it most often when I spread some planks by dragging them across the crafting surface into two slots and then craft sticks. It doesn't happen every time I do that, and I believe I have seen crashes on other craftings, but it has happened several times with that specific scenario.
Same issue in version 1.2.3 on Android. World seed: 2028677636 stronghold located at 896, 22, -400.
This world has been pretty fun. There are a ton of villages very close to my spawn, and when I found the stronghold so close to home I was thrilled until I entered and could not locate the end portal. I created a creative copy of the world and started replacing stone and gravel around the stronghold with air to make sure I wasn't missing something, but I haven't found the portal room. As far as I can tell it just doesn't exist. Major bummer since this probably means I am going to have to travel super far to find another stronghold. First time I've seen this issue.
Contrary to what Ron Horton had said, the animals following me do not lose interest if they are able to walk up I.e. On slabs, stairs, snow accumulation. They only lose interest when they either jump up or fall down 1 block. 1.2.5
Also did some testing in creative. Killed hundreds with and without looting III with zero pearls dropping. Guess there will be no going to the end for a while in this new world.
37408 was closed as a duplicate of this issue, but for me it is slightly different. I am getting 0 enderpearls no matter if I use looting or no looting. I killed hundreds of endermen in a testing world. 0 pearls. Not one. They are not a rare drop, they are non-existent. I've spent hours in my real world hunting endermen trying to get to the end. I have no pearls.
End gateways can't be the only way to cause it, because this happened to me before I had defeated the first dragon which would mean there were no gateways yet. I also didn't get the egg from killing the first dragon. I don't know if the second one broke the egg by landing on the pillar or what. I looked around the end everywhere I could and back at spawn as well. Nothing.
I built my trading hall around a trapped zombie named Coupon. Turns out my villagers weren't grateful at all when I cured them after introducing them to Coupon. Please fix it so my villagers are happy to be trapped in a cage and intentionally zombified. Thanks. Oh, and this is Android 1.14.1.
I just upgraded to Android 13 on my Pixel 6 and upon opening Minecraft I was greeted with the UI being cut off on top. I tried the "safe zone" adjustment and found the same problem reported here. I had to adjust the slider all the way down to fit the arrows on the screen. Doing so causes the visual UI elements to fit on the screen, but the controls are also moved in from the edge which is annoying. Furthermore, the visual UI elements don't line up with the area where you have to tap them to actually use them. I have to tap below the visual element to actually activate the button. This misalignment aspect seems to affect only the top UI elements (emotes, chat, pause)
I have only just encountered the problem, and have not as of yet experienced the reported random fixing of the issue.
I found a work around. When I have the problem, if I force a rotation (flip my device over) the problem fixes. I can then rotate back the other way and it stays fixed.

Confirmed still happening on 1.1.2.

The notes you posted are for build 1 of version 1.2 not 1.1.2.
Still happens on 1.1.5.
This is still an issue with 1.1.5 from the amazon app store.

When was this supposedly fixed? Still not working for me.

Wish I would have known this before I died 6 times building an enderman farm that doesn't work.

I've been having the same issue. Using a looting III sword I've killed a dozen endermen without a single pearl dropping.

I think this is fixed in 1.19.31.
I haven't seen it since I updated.
