When using the AMPLIFED world generation setting, sometimes trees get generated with the top layer of leaves at y:256. At this height you are unable to place blocks except water and lava wich means that you can not replace the leaves once you've broken them.

Generate a new world in 1.7.2 using "AMPLIFIED" world settings and the seed: -7225359505972818499

This is impossible in vanilla survival.
It is irrelevant if you can generate cobblestone, this issue is that the game generates blocks that cannot be replaced in survival once broken. This should not be closed as "works as intended", atleast not in my opinion
BTW, why didn't Tails confirm this?

This has to do with anti-aliased textures in general. This has broken a lot of texturepacks. A lot. I can only recommend reverting this change since this screws up hours and hours of work for no reason. Here is a video briefly showing how to fix it:
