My sister went through a nether Portal and spawned on the other side without one... Not only was the nether Portal linked together with another one on the other side (which it did not take her to), my sister is permanently trapped in the nether because of a bug...
This is not the first time we have experienced issues with nether portals, as before she was teleported 1000s of blocks away from a nether Portal I linked... It took her hours to get home, I really want to know what is going on because dealing with this issue is a nightmare...
What we did to cause a bug:
Found outpost and spawning block on top floor, sectioned off the top part with cubes to make it dark... At first they spawned readily for our farm and all seemed well, but after a while the spawns became more and more limited until we are not getting anything now... Checked all caves with xray beneath the ground and lit them all up... Checked again to see nothing spawning at all... Removed all we built on the top floor to see still nothing spawn still...
I have no clue what we are doing wrong and it seems to be a bug... Have seen other people on this forum talk about less spawns of captains but I am seeing 0 at all... Sorry if its just my idiocy but I seriously cannot get anything to spawn on the top of the raid towers anymore

After deleting the leaves in some area, it seems they have spawned, I am not sure why as it wasnt where I determined they were spawning in the first place anyways...

Happened to me on my world, a 25,000 block long stretch... My world is 1.1gb
Levi Redding, your video is viewable. If anyone here has this issue, please attach your world to this report. That may help us to reproduce this issue and push it to the developers.
How to get worlds:
- On Windows 10 you can use the Export world feature.
- On Android or iOS you need to use a file explorer to navigate to Device storage > games > com.mojang > minecraftWorlds
- On Xbox or Switch the only way is to upload it to a Realm, and then download the world on Windows 10 or Android/iOS.
Yeah all my Golems despawned from my village as well... Even though they were surrounded by walls and couldnt go anywhere... Light was available and nothing could spawn inside the walls...
This may be due to the fact mobs were Spawning in the light (which 1.11 fixed)... I read somewhere that pillagers only spawn at night near outposts...

Update: one more problem, she spawned THOUSANDS of blocks away again WITHOUT a nether Portal...
I am currently using empty locator maps and making them huge to find her and dig down to her... However I still have not found her...
If this can be identified and fixed I would be greatly appreciative... This is the second time in 2 months and is such a nightmare to deal with... Please please please fix...

I have a problem with the nether taking me ungodly far away without a nether Portal... I enter the portal at coordinates 50, 69, 200 and get to the other side at the exact same coordinates but in the nether

Still happening in Win 10 1.14.1....
100000% agree this is horrible, I have been trying to spawn any at all and the ones that do spawn are not pillager captains...
plugged up all the caves and lit them up, using xray as well... There is NOTHING stopping them from spawning and I have waited 20 mins for none to show up...

I have a fix if you have them in the front slots of your inventory like I did...
All you do is use the copy block button (middle mouse click I think) and it swaps the beehive with where you have that item in your inventory... You still don't have a part of your inventory but at least it's not 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 sooooo...
My world is 800mb.. I mean I can when I get home in a few hours
Also there is a semi fix I found IF the beehive is in the front slots of your inventory and you can't move it...
Simply use the copy block option (middle mouse click I believe) while having the beehive selected and it will go to the back of your inventory where the block you selected to copy was at...
It will still be stuck in your inventory but it won't be at the very front slots so...
Don't go to too much trouble, the info about adding them to a Shulker Box or Ender chest first sounds like a big clue.
Mine never entered shulker or ender chests... They were in regular chests when I updated and were then unable to be taken out... Its odd...
Also I took my world off the realm and downloaded it yet when I played on the local drive it would let me move the beehives freely..... Odd....
For me the game engine seems to lag rather than my actual pc (1000$ gaming pc)
so mobs act unusually slow and stuff...

bI doelieve that is a bad design, it makes it so I constantly have to remove max hp armor etc just to repair one damaged tool at Max speed... I would completely understand instead if it went into partially destroyed armor but max hp armor having a pull on xp and just sticking it into my level is bad design... Anyways the tool I want to repair (despite my armor being full health) 4/5s of the xp I get goes to my level... It is very inconvenient and annoying to take off armor all the time... But I understand, thanks for responding at the very least!

After realizing I had an old save on my phone I travel to the coords in 1.14 and behold the chunks are fine, then after updating my game while in the area the chunks loaded in normally....
However if I instead am not in the nether when the save loads the corrupted chunks return...
This proves the chunks are a result of 1.16 and were NOT there beforehand...

Yeah I reported this a while back, some mod told me thats how the game works but I think its really bad design...
Whats happening is your mending armor has a draw on the xp, say you have 5 things with mending including what you are holding and armor... Theres a 1/5th chance the xp goes to the tool in your hand and a 4/5s chance it goes to your xp bar (bad game design in my opinion, why does full gear have a draw on xp just to put it in your xp bar?) Hope this clears it up
This causes mending to be painfully slow if you just need 1 tool fixed.... A really inconvenient bug I dislike a lot because I have to take all my armor off regularly to heal a tool at max speed...
this is working as intended, thats how the game works, just up your render distance if you want it loaded

No matter what backup I have the same holes appear in my world despite them not being there in the update before... And its not like I didn't notice as the chunks missing go on for a freaking absurd 25000 blocks and the thing is 300 blocks wide....

If you open your world that was already corrupt and expect it to be fixed, it won't... You need to load a backup from before the corruption happened...
In my case my 1.16.1 world is still corrupted in 1.16.2 and non fixable... But my 1.14 backup loaded onto 1.16.2 lacks the 25k block long void that has been plaguing me...
