MC-148003What did the wall next to the slab look like? It might be to do with the auto jump mechanic.
(The affect version thing I haven't tested all versions)
This bug happens randomly, so all you need to do is load a world and there's a chance that the forming squares in the middle don't fully form at 100%
(Note: This happens in 1.14 Pre Release 1 too, but for some reason I can't put it in the version area, alongside many other versions)
How to reproduce:
- Get a crossbow and fully charge it so

Go more in depth. What way did you drop the wood and the dirt? You never stated which way round the two are. It could just be intended behaviour. Also what exactly do you mean by "Stacked"?

Hmm... I tried it too, and the same thing happened. It might be to do with the seethroughness of the smoke. Also, is it only water? Does it work with lava as well, or is it with everything which you can see through? Is it only translucent stuff and not full on transparent? Oh, and by the way, I used Programmer Arts, and you didn't, so it's not to do with that.
