Hunger bar automatically regenerates but health does not
During me and my little brothers world, we decided to upgrade to snapshots and we did so and loving the new updates. However, when 17w18a hit, we couldn't play on any difficulty besides Peaceful due to a bug that we have been having. When we change from peaceful to any other difficulty, our hunger goes up even though it won't regenerate our health. The hunger will go up and will go back down when running or being hit. This is a huge issue because it doesn't allow us to eat food to regenerate our health, nor does it allow us to play properly on any difficulty because of this bug. This is a huge issue. I would attach a crash report but F3+C doesn't seem to work on Linux. My computer is hosting and playing the game at the same time. We only have 2 players playing the server at once.
Here is a video of the bug in effect. We are not using a modded client nor are we using anything other than vanilla:

Is the gamerule naturalRegeneration maybe turned off?
Can be tested by using
Marcono1234,
No, naturalRegeneration is set to true, and even setting it to false and back continues to give an odd effect to the hunger and health regeneration.
Seems like Mojang messed up that they made naturalRegeneration to hunger, not health.
Cannot confirm, can you please force a crash, maybe you did not hold F3 + C long enough. Try holding the keys for at least 10 seconds and then release them.
Marcono1234,
I have finally been able to force a crash. I have put the crash report in a pastebin and linked it in the description. I hope this helps.
Is this still an issue in pre release 5? I have not been able to reproduce the issue.
