Pressing Shift (sneak) and Space (jump) affects a swimming player by making them move downwards respectively upwards.
Expected would be that these keys have no effect since you steer by looking in the direction you want to go while swimming.

Invalid, the actual swimming occurs when the player sprints under water, in which case the proper animation is shown. Shift is also intended to move the player down while swimming.
Sorry if this was not clear enough, the whole report is about proper swimming, not just being in water.
