We're tracking this issue in MC-142373 and MC-182287, so this ticket is being resolved and linked as a duplicate.

Really wanna know why this is "Works as intended". You can use the other 2 potatoes and the poisonous potato would finally gets a use.
I guess that's the purpose of poisonous potatoes: Being really, really useless...
I thought we might finally have some use for this item, and it doesn't work
Really don't understand why these were added in the first place, but this seems like an oversight. It's the only item I ever wanted to compost. Well, and rotten flesh, but that doesn't work either.
