Parrots still are able to imitate pandas (Subtitle "Parrot pants"), despite pandas not being hostile mobs (see MC-159513).
To reproduce
- Spawn a parrot near a panda
- Enable sub titles
→
The subtitle "Parrot pants" will appear
Despite MC-163400 being fixed and stopping parrots from imitating some neutral mobs, spiders/cave spiders are the only 2 neutral mobs that parrots can still imitate. The subtitle "Parrot hisses" can be seen if subtitles are enabled.
How to Reproduce
- Spawn a parrot near a spider/cave spider
- Enable subtitles
→ The subtitle "Parrot hisses" will appear
Probably intended, parrots don't mimic other neutral "animals", like llamas (yes, parrots not mimicking llamas is working as intended, see the resolution of
MC-141071).If it is intended, why do parrots now imitate the sounds of pandas? (Resolved as 'Fixed' at
MC-138078). But that's not all, parrots also imitate wolves and polar bears.Parrots should only imitate hostile mobs. They should not imitate pandas and that will be fixed.
