Vines don't update properly.
What I expected to happen was...:
When I chopped a jungle tree, the vines would disappear.
What actually happened was...:
The vines just stayed in midair.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Chop down a naturally occurring jungle tree.
2. Wait for leaves with vines on them to decay (don't destroy them yourself)
3. Look at the floating vines.
Environment
Windows 7

I mined a spruce tree with vines on it and there was a vine facing up that wasn't next to any block and was only touching the grass block under it.
Observed Behaviour:
- While navigating in Jungle we can spot randomly floating vines around the trees. It is a rare thing to run into, but it is possible to spot vines generating just in air.
- Sometimes jungle trees are generated in half, I think this might be related to the vines generation since they generate around trees.
Expected Behaviour:
- In my opinion vines is not supposed to be floating in the air.
- Half of tree cannot be generated naturally.
More information:
- Probably the most similar issue is
MC-18581, but I haven't destroyed any tree. Floating vines were generated naturally. MC-196205was really similar, happening on swamp biomes.- 2 of the pictures shows half of tree generated, might this affect floating vines on the other side sometimes?
- For trees generating in half this might be related:
MC-128526.

If a tree has vines on it, right up to the leaves, and you break the log two blocks below the leaves, and then the log directly below the leaves, the vines will remain where the lower block was.
Edit: reproduced in 1.6.1
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
