Infested blocks can turn into their normal version when "mobGriefing" is set to false
The Bug
If the gamerule mobGriefing is false, infested blocks can become their regular version if nearby silverfish are attacked. However, no silverfish spawn from this.
Steps to Reproduce
- Set the mobGriefing gamerule to false.
- Place down an infested block, and spawn a silverfish next to it.
- Attack the silverfish.
- Using the F3 screen, look at the "Targeted block" information and note whether the block is still infested or not.
Observed Results
The block is no longer infested and has transformed into its regular variant.
Expected Results
The infested block would stay infested when the mobGriefing gamerule is false.

Seems intentional to me, to avoid spawning silverfish over and over and over and over again when fighting one near infested blocks.

Infested blocks can turn into their normal version when "mobGriefing" is set to false
This is strange. At first If the block is touching the ground it turns into a normal stone block but it if it's on top of the infested block it doesn't turn to stone. But then this glitch just suddenly stop working for me. I am in the latest snapshot.

Might want to make clear in the report itself that no silverfish are exiting the blocks while that happens.
Can confirm in 1.21.1 and 1.21.2 Pre-Release 3.
I would like to request ownership of this report so that it can be maintained for future versions.
