Baby mobs' hat layers (i.e. on zombie pigmen) don't render
Baby mobs' hat layers, if their skin has one, will not render. This is now more of a problem with baby zombie pigmen, which now (rarely) spawn naturally.
I can't find any other report for this (especially in the flood of dupes for only baby mobs spawning), so I'm sorry if this is a duplicate.

Can you attach a screenshot?
Does
MC-2664describe that issue ?No, it doesn't seem to. This is about the actual skin, that's about hitbox and worn block alignment issues.
I have noticed this. While
MC-2664does not describe the issue, it DOES show baby zombie pigman, revealing the missing hat. When using texture packs this glitch also affects zombies.Screenshot showing this using a texture pack.
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.7.2 / Launcher version 1.3.4 or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
Confirmed in 1.7.2.
