Seeds/blocks drop for a second as smooth stone. (MP)
Often in MP, when I hit tall grass or flowers, the drops appear to be smooth stone for a few seconds before turning into the correct drop.
I had this less in SP.
Update: I had this issue as well with dirt and flowers.

can confirm... This hapens all the time on SMP (not just with seeds, with any block mined as well). Its probably the lag between server and client. Client knows its a block so gives it id 001and when the server catches up the client then updates it.
I saw it appear with dirt and such as well.
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.7.4 / Launcher version 1.3.8 or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
Yes, but I can't test it on my friend's server since we don't do snapshot servers.
i am currently playing in mc realms on mc 1.7.9 and i only have this problem with glowstone and quartz ore.
