NPC's will only accept white wool now for trading
NPC's will only accept white wool in exchange for emeralds now, whereas before, they would accept any colored wool from the player. I see they sell colored wool - was this done on purpose?

I believe this is intended based on the trading changes in 1.8. Also can't trade charcoal in place of coal like before
Makes sense! Bonemeal will be more valuable now
If the trade is considering unnecessary metadata, then it is a bug. Otherwise, this may be intended.
Is it possible to /summon a villager that accepts charcoal or colored wool (data values other than 0)? Can damaged (and new) tools/swords still be traded?
Confirmed for 1.8
Confirmed for 1.8.1-pre4
Works as intended.
Works as intended. White wool is the only wool that is accepted by villagers since 1.8. They will sell different colours though.
Intended. Caused by the fix of
MC-349.This bug is essentially the opposite of
MC-349, and is intended.
