MC-4934Squids Make Footstep Sounds
Even though they do not have feet, while on land squids make footstep sounds when they "swim" on the blocks. They also make the sound when swimming on top of blocks in the water as well.

Unable to reproduce.
You have to get the squid to move which can be difficult.
Can you try and record and post a video of this?
The sound function glitches when I try to record, but I'll try.
This is pretty old isn't it? I think I remember this back in beta.

It's been around for a while.
I can confirm this. A video will be uploaded showing this bug soon, although in the video the squids are underwater. The footsteps can still be heard, though.

Same here, also pretty disturbing when they swim under ice you walk on as you think there is something walking next to you.
So i was in creative mode and underwater while looking for something in my browser and then realized, i hear footsteps. But i was in singleplayer and was like wtf? And then noticed the squids infront of me on the sea ground making that sound. Weird. ^^

Heard no footsteps sounds by squid on land or in water.
