Some unicode characters are always bold
This report was closed as "Invalid" because the affected characters are the ones from the assets/minecraft/textures/font/ascii.png file.
The problem that the other unicode characters like "³" are not that big might be MC-2488.
Many unicode characters appear as bold even there would be a way to create them with a normal font size.
This seems to affect only the "ascii.png"
Examples:
- ² (there is already a report about that, but I can't find it; also ³ is not bold)
- ÷
- ≤ and ≥ (well maybe with a normal font size they would look strange)
- √
- Σ
- °
- ∞
- ∩
- ∈
- ∅
- ± (but ∓ isn't like this)
and probably many more
Some that are also "messed up":
- ª -> ª
- ® -> ®
- ¼ -> ½
- ½ -> ¾
- ø -> ø
These are too big. They do not appear bold but you cannot read them

Relates to MC-76355
Since this isn't as important and relates to MC-76355 as well, this report may be closed.
I'm sorry, I don't think I understand the issue anymore - with greek enabled, it will always show unicode font for me. Only when I use other languages, like english (US), will it show me the default font with fallback unicode font. Only then will some characters be bolded, which is exactly MC-76355.
So where's the difference to MC-76355?

Do you have some steps to replicate this?
