Items have a lag before visually teleporting
It seems as though Items take a while before teleporting visually, is anyone else having this issue, and if you do, is there a fix?
Thanks!
EDIT: By placing a pressure plate down, the item teleports when the command is given, but does not update the visual position until half a second later.
EDIT: This still is an issue, as of 2016-10-24.

Was fighting the Enderdragon yesterday on 15w43 and at times I had huge deathly lag spikes - I died enough times as it was!
I spent a long time getting the last crystal (once I had got this, the rest was easy). It seemed that very time I would try and pole up to the the top of the pillar she come in an knock me off. If I was at the bottom she would breathe on me and I had to run outside the effect of the dragonbreath cloud. It was at these time I would have the lag spikes - I managed to get a couple of sceenshots and I've attached these.
This could be related (a consequence of) MC-91225 Items have a lag before visually teleporting, endermen were running around screaming at the same time and most likely teleporting.
Does
MC-2688describe your issue ?Not quite, in my case, running the ./tp @e[type=Item,c=1] ~ ~ ~1 doesn't visually teleport the item, not when it is dropped. Dropping the item is fine, but the teleportation of items has a small amount of lag.
Is this still an issue in the most recent versions (currently that is 1.10.2, or 16w42a) of Minecraft? If so, please update the affected versions and help us keeping this ticket updated from time to time.
This still is an issue, thank you for the reminder.
Cannot reproduce in 1.11.2. Is this still an issue in the most recent versions (currently that is 1.11.2) of Minecraft?
If so, please provide exact steps on how to reproduce this issue.
Yes, it is thank you.
First, I created a new superflat world, and created a repeating command block with the command "/tp @e[type=Item] ~-0.05 ~ ~" in it, with needs redstone activated. I threw a rotten flesh on the ground, and then flipped a lever connected to the command block. It seemed to only update the Item's location every second.
