If you drop an item it snaps to different location.

Confirmed, although it moves so little that it seems like a mere annoyance. I think this happens because the position is being stored in a float and a bit of rounding up/down is occurring.
It's a lot worse when drops are moved by placing a block.

MC-6626looks like a mixture of two bugs. This one and another one where drops move inside solid blocks. I can confirm drops sitting between and at the edge of two solid blocks.Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.6.4 / Launcher version 1.2.5 ? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
Yes it affects Minecraft 1.6.4 and snapshot 13w38c.

This seems to be better in 16w32, but still not completely fixed.
