MCL-11720Shows my old username after I changed it.
I changed my user name to Ech0Art today, and when I hopped on to MC the launcher showed my username as my old one (Crescent_Candy). I did a the most sensible thing I could think of and I restarted the launcher, but is still showed up as Crescent_Candy! So I thought "Hey! Maybe its just a glitch in the system and it will be fine once I get into a server!". So I did just that and it said "ERROR username could not be found" So now I cant get into servers. Then I got into game it was STILL Crescent_Candy but at least it didn't turn me away.

I am having the same issue, it is super annoying and none of my 2 accounts will login. I waited overnight!

Let's make this the main ticket about this. The issue probably lays in the way how the login system works. Session IDs. It's a key to contact the API and verify you're the owner of the account. The probably is that they don't refresh when you re-launch the launcher, only when relogging back into the account. So, that key is only able to pull out old information and not the new information (including the changed name). Probably the best way to fix this is to let the launcher check each time it launches with the public information on names, and if it doesn't match, refresh the session ID. I might be wrong on this, but that's at least how I think it should work.
