lol, I uninstalled the launcher (in settings>apps), rebooted then re-installed and it worked. New laptop but MC was running before this update.
edit: Win 11 home. First thing I did was check the suggested dependencies. I installed Companion. That alone did not fix it. Desktop, Win 11 Pro updated as expected.

Can this issue be closed or it has to be still open?
Or maybe it has to be added as related to some other issue?
