Lagging and crashing
When I’m just playing like normal the lag sometimes spikes hard enough that the game crashes, then I lose lots of progress, I know the game has just released but it’s happened every time when I’m getting to important parts in the game and I lose a lot of progress, so I thought I should just report it anyway. Thanks ![]()

Happens to me as well. I doesnt crash, but my character keeps "going back in time", teleporting to a spot I was a few seconds earlier.
My game keeps crashing, too. It's very frustrating because I lose progress!
five_and_six → I understand your frustration, this ticket is marked as "Community Consensus" (confirmed by the community). Mojang will work on it asap. If you have specific information to provide, it could help to locate the cause of the bug (such as a video, for example).
Just completed my first playthrough and I had a total of 6 crashes, with about 45 minutes of progress lost in total. At first I had the rubberbanding lag quite frequently but changing to a new SD card seemed to help that. For now I reccomend saving and quitting after doing anything major like defeating a base or defending a village just to be safe. I really wish the game autosaved after cutscenes, but it doesn't seem to.
Given the community consensus confirmation status, I'll chime in.
The infrequent autosaving is infuriating, but what's even more infuriating is that it crashes silently and that there are seemingly no logs. Most importantly, Minecraft Support didn't seem to know where to find crash logs. At least when Dungeons crashes, UE4 tells you that it did and gives you more information and allows you to report it.
I've got an AMD Radeon RX 6600, am playing on Windows and have access to the game through my subscription to Xbox Game Pass for PC. I'm not sure what else is relevant...
There's seemingly no way for me to reproduce my crashes. I've seen random crashes in both singleplayer and multiplayer. The lack of crash reports makes this all difficult.
Edit: Still been unable to get this resolved with Minecraft Support.

Could you provide us some more information about your issue? Have you played solo or with friend/s? Are there particular areas where game struggles? Are there any repeatable steps to reproduce crashes you have experienced?
