This has been resolved as a dupe of 34448. Don't add the affected version. Add any additional information to MCPE-34448 instead.
It is still an issue, however it has changed with 1.13. This visiual effect (which was completely missing in 1.6 MCPE-34448) is now only visible on the front side of the player that is using riptide.
Could you provide a video? The trident does not have particles rather its an animation that can be seen in third person.
