When I go to replace my realm world I get an error message saying 'Failed to find a place to upload your world. Maybe check your internet connection?'
This has been happening for so long, I only have 9 days left until my subscription has ended and i cant even play it.

Are you still unable to join your realm?
You might try to "Close" and then "Reopen" the realm to see if that helps also.
Also, if you get an error with a realm operation, it may take at least a few minutes for the server to recover. It is also recommended to Close the realm before doing any management activity to make sure no players are connected.
The issue with trying to replace a realm world and getting a "check internet" message is tracked as REALMS-8020.

Having this issue on and off all morning for the last 2 hours. Repeatedly getting this message or simply “an error occurred”
We are not able to reproduce this issue currently. Could you please check if this is an ongoing issue in the latest version (1.17.2)? If so, can you please add it to the affected versions (or mention it if you are not the reporter).

Im having the same exakt problem, updated game, i managed to "reset" my realms,. and could join that, but cant upload the backup i just downloaded from the same realms i took prior to reseting it either.
Realms version 1.17.10 when checking the backups.

Same issues as above. I'm on 1.17.11 which I believe is the current version. All the same issues as above, an error occurred message is displayed. except in addition when attempting to close the realm I'm given a
"Unable to connect to realm.
Failed to close realm"

It's been at least 48 hours with a reset realm now, completely unable to change it but able to play on it. The realms is payed for, so is Gold. I've reset my internet. Deleted Minecraft on pc, phone and Xbox. Reinstalled. Reloaded a backup. Reset the realm. Previously been able to close the realm but... That's not an available action anymore.
This bug displays a complete failure within mojangs support team. Minimum - Two months later and this major issue still isn't fixed. We've entirely new content at this point with another update on it's way, but no actual fixes. As stated in the "duplicate" ticket I created - we're paying you for nothing. I am literally giving you money for no reason, no support, no fix. Sort it out?
Just to be clear, this isn't the first time I've experienced this, it's actually a fairly regular issue.
I have the same problem and I can't find the solution I'm on 1.17.11. I have fiber and my world is 560 MB
The worst part of this bug is sometimes it even prevents me from rolling back to a previous save file and lock everyone out of Realm (infinite loading screen).
This bug also happened in 1.17.32
Same for me. Sorry, I also logged a report before checking. I’ve got great internet connection, tested on my switch and other devices. Silky smooth. All good. Cannot initialise world for days now. 1.17.32 world is only 89mb. Tried renaming it. I’ve archived and reinstalled. Tried just checking to see if it worked despite the error message. Yeah…I’ve done everything reddit, twitch, and youtube have suggested.

Kinda sad that we are paying for a product that doesnt even work. Shouldn't even be charging money for realms right now if you cant get a bug fixed after 4 months.

Just bought a realm, having this issue on switch v1.18.12 with physical game cartridge.
Previously had issue REALMS-474 16 months ago, have never successfully exported a world from a switch.
No change in 1.18.30, still cannot upload to realm from Switch.
1.19 still having same issue trying to upload under 100 Mb world to realm.
Still a problem as of 19th of June. I've done it multiple times and now it just asks about my internet connection. When it previously was just an error.
Having the exact issue myself. I paid to make a world of mine a realm & after a week of it not creating I finally emailed support & today they created a new realm server for me but I can’t add my world to it. I paid for my friend to be able to join the world we’ve been working on together, not a new empty world. Anyway I do love Mojang & it’s only 4 dollars, it’s just really frustrating.
I'm still having this issue as of Nov. 15, 2022 on Xbox. Going to contact support to see if I can get it fixed quick.
Having this issue currently. Can't reset, replace, or create a new world on realms. Sometimes the name of the world will change, but it will still be the original realm world (not replaced). Anything we should be trying? Thanks.
@freeprof Possible fix that worked for me. PC only. I found information online about using NetLimiter. Limiting your upload speed while making any changes works if you have any sort of decent internet speed. Other than that it's just aimlessly trying to upload constantly and hoping you get good luck on it being successful.
When using NetLimiter I reduced my speed to about 10MBps. took a bit of time but it worked.
Pretty sad having to use a third party program.

Update: it seems to be happening in 1.20.0 as well
This Issue is currently occuring on 1.20.12 as well still making it next to impossible to upload or roll back a realm to a prior save point and preventing Players from uploading other worlds into their realms. Has there been any word of a potential fix to this?
I was receiving this error after updating and turning on Windows Defender on Windows 11. This included real-time scanning, antivirus, and firewall. When I disabled them all again the error went away and I was able to upload my world again.
At the time of this post Bedrock version is 1.20.32.
I got the aforementioned error on PS5 bedrock version 1.20.41. Contacted Playstation Game Support, and they said it was a Mojang bug.
