When playing minecraft, whether it is in SP or in SMP, the game will freeze instantly when opening a chest! There is no crash report. The only thing that I can get is by running minecraft with a console open. Just as the game freezes, the following is printed into the console.

This still happens on 0.6.1. I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus Running Android Jally Bean 4.2.1. I will test this on my Nexus S also running 0.6.1.
Still Happens on 0.6.1 on Android 4.2.1 on both the Galaxy Nexus and the Nexus S.
I can confirm This only works on iOS. It`s fine on android.
Yep can confirm on Galaxy Nexus Android 4.2.1 and MCPE 0.6.1
I had the issue on my Galaxy nexus. The menu button did not pause but the back button does. I reinstalled the game and now both work.
