Are these the same? I have only seen this happening with sand. Please comment in MCPE-8 if this also includes other types of blocks.

When in water, creeper and TNT explosions do not effect any blocks around them. This is not a bug. This is how TNT cannons are made.
Can't reproduce, would love to see video or screenshots
I saw a video by JoePassGaming on YouTube where he was demoing v0.4 and it shows creepers not blowing up the sand around it. The creepers were not in water at the time.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9inGCJGOmz0&feature=share&list=UUCze-8G-uUNNNtZACVhaPmA
Interesting... it's about 8 1/2 minutes in: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9inGCJGOmz0&t=8m30s
The creeper was up in the air, but it seems like he should have been close enough to the sand to damage it...
MCPE-652reports this still affects 0.5.0.yeaaa same with me i cant destroy some dirt and others with tnt it wasnt even in water it was on land and it still not destroy it i need to destroy it with shovel takes sooo long i need it fixed!!!
Still Happens on 0.6.1 on Android 4.2.1 on both the Galaxy Nexus and the Nexus S.
At about 30 blocks from first bedrock, TNT seems to stop affecting gravel.
Works as intended. Water reduces cuts the effect of TNT and Creepers. They absorb all the explosion.
No, when the explosion is not under the water, water should not affect it.
On my map, it appears to be random. I detonated a large amount of TNT underground, and it "varporized" all the stone, diamond, iron, gold, coal, and gravel, but left all the dirt pockets alone.
On my second to latest comment, I meant, when there is not water nearby, it should not act as if there is, therefore, it does not work as intended
This is true. I saw it. It happens with creepers and tnt
No this was not near water
Was there water on the chunk?
probably it was not near or in water because it happened to me too i was just playing and creeper blew and it didnt destroy the blocks
In 0.7.0 Creepers and TNT makes huges craters than normal :S
The game isn't really fun without the disapontment of a creeper blowing up your house.
I had this issue for the first time in a creative world in 0.8.0 build 8
Creepers and TNT won't do terrain damage in water
Jacob Canada: That's intended behavior
I know that.
Also affects clay blocks
MCPE-6492Is it at random? Sometimes it happened at me, when I could not destroy blocks by TNT (sandstone, netherrack, quartz etc.).
Sometimes it switches between grass and dirt
this bug effects all version up to 0.9.0 build 4 as well
If this issue still affects the current version of Minecraft PE, please update the "Affected Version/s" option to reflect this.
That doesn't happen anymore
