It allows me to create multiple LAN worlds but it doesnt freeze when I close the world
The freeze is probably
MC-72943and does not happen for everyone.Just as [Mod] Urielsalis said, the game doesn't freeze. Can confirm for MC 1.12.1.
At least in 18w03a this appears to be fixed, trying to use /publish after the world has already been opened to LAN shows "Multiplayer game is already hosted on port [PORT]".
