Can't drop items by clicking outside of inventory
When opening the inventory, taking an item (or more than one) and clicking next to the inventory in order do drop it on the groud, it will not drop.
It does not make a difference if the recipes are opened or not.
The items which are being held are only beeing dropped, when the inventory is closed, while they are still being held.

Vanilla can not drop items by clicking outside of inventory

This is a really annoying bug. I hope it's not a new feature.
I can confirm. Throwing items by clicking the dimmed background outside of inventory gui doesn't work in survival mode, it still works in creative mode though.
Tested in both multiplayer server and single player worlds. Q/Shift+Q still works too.
Also tested with inventory blocks (chests/hoppers/etc), the function still works in survival mode. Only disabled in inventory (E).
