I don't know if this is work as intended, but I don't think so. Taking no answer as a "it's not work as intended".
can confirm, i dont think its work as intended either
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.7.2 / Launcher version 1.3.4 ? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

This isn't precisely easy to reproduce, you have to kill the ender dragon on a certain position, like so close to a pillar or something. Why can't mods reproduce it and stuff? ... And new complete ticket... to be marked as duplicate? Better nope.
I don't want to spend my day reproducing a few thousand tickets. You reported it, and didn't mark it as affecting the latest version even after more than a month (and our request). Like you said, its hard to reproduce. We close tickets that aren't being updated by their reporters because we can simply reopen them if we need to and it lowers the load of tickets that need to be tracked.
Well I'll try to reproduce that bug as soon as possible, but yeah I should be lucky at all, or like do something to like quickly reproduce it.
Take your time, this ticket won't get caught again for another month or two.
