Possibly intentional, but IDK.
Don't think it is intentional. It becomes invisible from a certain angle... Just wanted to report it as well, but I found your ticket.
The top of the kelp is likely done that way to make the plant taper off. Not sure if it would even make sense for the top to be the same X shape, but I'm not an expert on how kelp should look.
with x-shape texture you can v-shape it by filling only one half of it.
Texture changed, and its still flat... WHYYYYYYY
