Sponge absorption pattern is irregular
Steps to reproduce (see most recent attached image):
- Dig a 11 * 1 * 11 area.
- Fill the area with water sources.
- Execute /tick freeze.
- Place a sponge in the exact middle of the area.
The absorption pattern created by the sponge is irregular.

Sponges leaving out blocks
In a 7x1x7 space, a sponge placed in the middle is always going to leave out the west corners. Oddly enough, placing the sponge in a 9x1x7 (the east-west direction being the longer one) leaves out the exact spots as in the 7x1x7, but clears out the further water. This doesn't happen in 7x1x9 north-south, but it leaves out a 2x2 area of water again at the west corners.

The behavior outlined in the previous version of this bug report was fixed in 22w11a. However, the absorbing radius of sponges is still not equal in 1.21.4. This is reproducible in a 11*1*11 space filled with water sources (see attached image).
