Illager captain spawned from raids will still give the bad omen effect to its killer, causing raids to never end
The bug
When a illager captain (an illager with a banner) that spawned during a raid, is killed, it will still give its killer the bad omen effect, causing raids to never end.
Original description
Description:
When starting a raid and sending the banner carrier (spawned from the raid) to the nether you can get the bad omen effect from him. This allows the player to start a raid over and over again by sending at least 1 banner carrier to the nether.
What I expected to happen:
The banner carriers spawned from raids don't give the bad omen effect.
What actually happened
The banner carriers spawned from raids give the bad omen effect when killed in the nether (where there is no raid active).
Steps to reproduce:
1) Start a raid in the overworld
2) Lure the banner carriers to the nether
3) Kill the banner carriers in the nether (make sure there is no raid active in the nether). Each banner carrier equals 1 level of bad omen which can be brought back to the overworld to start another raid.

I'm sorry - but I don't see how our bug is a duplicate of the one with the nether. We don't even have a nether portal yet. Could you please explain why you think our situation is the same as MC-146835 ?
Also, I tried attaching my saved world here (after 9+ Raids), but it's a 50MB Zip file which is beyond the accepted filesize. So now, instead I uploaded it as separate files - one main ZIP archive missing the bigger region files, those I've attached separately (they all go into the region folder)
MC-146835 is about the illager captain giving you the bad omen effect even during a raid. You can see that by moving him into the nether, and you need that to prevent that the bad omen level is immediately counted towards the raid. That doesn't mean it doesn't happen if you don't move the illager captain to the nether.

Only one issue per ticket please.
Getting bad omen from illagers spawned in a raid is MC-146835.
Duplicate of MC-146835
Even if this is intentional, its a pretty bad game design that allows for these never ending raids. A lot of things about raids are being re-worked at the moment (like raiders with banners no longer giving bad oman, another issue that caused infinite raids MC-146835) and this issue should be one of those things reworked. Pretty simple fix, saves a ton of hassle for players.

Still affects 1.16.4
Kingsley Zhang, in that case, please file a new bug report.
