The last played singleplayer world, after quitting, changes its last opened date to 1/1/70 even when my system clock was correct.

This issue duplicates MC-17830 and has been marked resolved on future update.
@clement Desg I can't believe you made another bug report on this same issue after replying to this one. Not how the system works, search then up-vote an issue by clicking on the blue writing on the right hand side that says "Vote for this issue".
Update, it seems to have been caused by the timestamp issue (MC-17830) as reloading the world and saving out of it (thus correcting the timestamp) has managed to stop the crashing. This can remain closed now. Thanks for the help.

What happens if you play that world: Can you see that the last access date of the files in C:\Users\PC_USER\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves\Alex's Survival World do change ? In what world / directory do you find your progress with cartograph ?
Do you have two worlds with the same name ?
Or did you stumble over MC-17830 ?

I too can confirm this on a windows 7 machine. My on board time is correct. Was in a creative world.
I thought they were getting deleted, I was relieved when i tried to paste my back up (missing a large chunk of work i had just been doing) into the saves folder and it said it was already there.
Confirmed for 13w24b. It's annoying to have your most recently played worldsaves at the bottom of the list!

Now mine says 12/31/1969 for some of them – see attached screenshot
I've also seen this issue. One odd thing is that the time is 12 hours off. Attached a screen shot showing this. Im using: Windows 7 64-bit, Java 7 64-bit and Swedish regional settings.

Nathan R: the begin of 1970 is also the epoch for java's time when it uses long-value of milliseconds. The reason why Windows ends up showing e.g. last day in 1969 might have something to do with timezones/daylight savings stuff etc., where Linux offers slightly more (and different) options than Windows.
Confirmed on Fedora Linux 64-bit with Oracle's latest Java. My timezone is GMT-3 and the time stamp on the saves is 31/12/1969 21:08. That seems to be the earliest it gets. I haven't played 8 minutes in that world.
