"Times Used" statistic for shears does not increase when using it on an entity to perform an action
Using shears on an entity to perform an action such as; removing armor, shearing wool, or removing mushrooms will not increase the Times Used statistic for shear items despite the player successfully using the item for its intended purpose.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Create a new world (for clean stats)
- Summon/Spawn one of the following:
- Sheep
- Wolf with wolf armor
- Snow golem
- Bogged
- Mooshroom cow
- Use shear items on the entity
→ Check statistics, observe results - (in survival) break a leaf block with shears
→ Check statistics, observe results
Observed Behavior:
In the first case, the Times Used statistics for shears will not increase, despite the player successfully using shears for their intended purpose. In the second case, the statistic will actually increase after breaking a block.
Expected Result:
The current behavior only considers blocks being broken by shears as proper item usages, when shears are foremost an item to shear sheep (primarily sheep, among other entities as well). The statistic should increase for any intended usage of the item.

Notes:
- While some cases could possibly be argued to not be proper usages (such as snow golems, or bogged), it is especially strange that shearing sheep does not increase the statistic at all when this is the direct purpose of shears.

When using a name tag on an entity, the Times Used statistic will never increase for the item, despite the item usage being successful.
Steps to Reproduce:
- (optional) Create a new world with fresh stats
- Get a name tag
- Rename the item in an anvil (can be anything)
- Use the name tag on an applicable entity
- Check statistics
Observed Behavior:
The Times Used statistic will never increase.
Expected Result:
Because the player used the item for its intended purpose by renaming an entity, the statistic would increase by 1.
Screenshots/Videos:
Notes:
- Alongside there being no indication to the player that they have used the item in the Items tab of the statistics screen, there is also no trackable data inside the General tab either for name tag usage, making this statistic entirely untrackable.

When equipping a saddle onto any entity (camels, pigs, horses, etc.) the Times Used statistic will not increase, despite the item using being successful and intentional.
Steps to Reproduce:
- (optional) Create a new world with clean stats
- Spawn/Summon a pig
- Use a saddle on it
Observed Behavior:
After using the saddle on the pig, the statistics for saddles will not be present in the Items tab of the statistics screen, indicating it is empty/still at 0.
Expected Result:
The Times Used statistic would increase by 1, because the player successfully used the item for its intended purpose.
